She is one of the persons you are looking for when you need to know more about EPT (English Proficiency Test), the schedule and requirements of Institutional TOEFL, and all things related to academic affairs. Especially during the promotion test every term, she is very busy with students who are about to take make-up tests. That is Namira Amir, or Mira for short.
Mira is one of our Penata Akademis, the staff of academic affairs. This petite girl wearing a headscarf is not too petite in providing service to, not only students, but also customers and parents. “This is really what I find interesting, to help and provide service to our customers,” said the girl who loves singing a lot. She also took part in KOPKARLIA-IDOL, the singing competition to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Koperasi LIA. While working on the paperwork, she would have music from the radio or from her cellphone as her company. As a people-person, she tries her best not to be alone. She also enjoys watching movies with her friends and family members. Being with people is really her cup of tea.
People might find her job dreary or even difficult. She obviously doesn’t think so. “There is nothing difficult, I think. As long as we are in a solid team with great team players, I love what I do here,” added Mira. Wishing all the best for LIA, she shares her favorite line,”Be the sun that shines upon the earth, be the rainbow that colors the sky and the world, be the moon that provides light in the darkness, and be yourself that brightens your own life and others’.” Hmmm… sounds like she has started creating lyrics of a song!
