His name is Abdul Azis, or Abdul for short. He first joined LIA Pramuka some four years ago when he was in junior high school. He joined in FSC 4 level. Abdul mentioned how he liked reading (about history, mostly), playing soccer, and playing video games. When Abdul showed up to join the speech (SAY) competition, everybody was amazed because a guy that young was brave enough to compete with the more senior ones. It was the courage that put him on the second place of the competition with only slight score difference with the first winner. Abdul showed everyone that age should not be a problem to reach whatever it is one wants to reach.
Later after the competition was over, Abdul admitted something. ”I came the 2nd winner after Nofrizal before previously warned by of his participation, that was a little bit demoralizing, because I was informed that he came from CV class, as well he was the best pupil. What chance does a HI-2 student stand against someone whose speaking skills are better trained?“ The first grader of Al-Haramain Saudy Academy Senior High School, who was born in Jakarta on May 10, 1994, mentioned that it was all about hard work that made him able to be the second winner with very slight score difference.
Abdul again proved that age was nothing but number when he was sent as the representative of LIA and Indonesia in the International Youth Forum 2009 in Millennium Hotel, Jakarta. Together with other participants from Indonesia and other countries, Abdul formulated a petition and presented it in front of the audience. The petition is used to make a safer and better world for children.
Well, Abdul, keep up the good work!
