The Pioneer
LBPP LIA PRAMUKA has been established since 31 years ago. It was on Thursday, 30 November 1978 when LIA Pramuka building was officially opened by General Panggabean, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (ad interm). The signing of LIA Pramuka building was also witnessed by other Indonesian figures. Drs. Moch Hatta and Ibu Rahmi Hatta were also present to witness the opening of LIA Pramuka.
The second building -the Annex building- which now becomes the office building was opened by Professor Dr Mochtar Kusumaatmadja, Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs at that time.
From its long history, LIA Pramuka Branch is often associated with LIA as a whole organization. Everytime people mention the name LIA, they would think of LIA Pramuka branch. Based on that history, Mr. Harianto Widjaja, LIA Pramuka former branch manager in 2004, came up with a nickname for LIA Pramuka.
THE PIONEER. The Pioneer is used as LIA Pramuka’s nickname because LIA Pramuka is the first building owned by Yayasan LIA. Later on, Yayasan LIA spreads its wing and now it owns around 60 branches all over Indonesia.
In July 2009, Mr. Budi Hermono, the Head of GA section of LBPP LIA Pramuka designed a logo simbolizes the spirit of LIA Pramuka with its colors and The Pioneer slogan. The logo should remind us, LIA Pramuka staff and students, that we have a long history behind us and it is our duty to make another long history in the future.
LBPP LIA Pramuka right now has more than 3500 students, 100 teaching staff, dan 50 non-academic staff.
LBPP LIA Pramuka is located at Jalan Pramuka Kavling 30, Jakarta 13120.
